After years in the nursing field, it became undeniably clear that a change was needed. Most, if not all other nursing associations are liberal based or at least liberal leaning and advocate for those causes. As conservatives our choice was either to not join any nursing associations or realize that our money would be supporting causes we don’t believe in. Some of the examples causes the major nursing associations have supported include extending term of abortions, transgender puberty blocking medications and surgeries for minors, expansion of Medicaid and Obama Care, promoting illegal gun legislation, and a socialist restructuring of the healthcare system into a “Medicare for all” .  Conservative Nurses of America was formed to support causes nurses can support like increases in pay, lower patient/Nurse ratios, and steeper penalties for violence on healthcare professionals.
